Step 3: Updated Room Rack

1. This three night reservation for Baker is now displayed in the room rack.  That's it.

Here are some actions available now:

  • Press F4 to check-in this guest.  The cell colors change from yellow to green after the guest is checked-in.  You can choose different colors if you want.
  • Double-click on a cell with the name "Baker" and edit this reservation.  Change the number of nights or the room rate or any other aspect of the reservation.
  • Press Delete to cancel the reservation.
  • Place the cursor on the second night of the "Baker" stay.  Hold down the shift key and at the same time press the left mouse button and drag this room night down to room 006.  This is a room transfer using 'drag and drop'.
  • Press F3 to see a preview of Anne Baker's folio.
  • Press F10 to print a check-in form for Anne Baker.
  • Press F11 to print a paper copy of this reservation for your records.
  • Press <Ctrl+L> to print a confirmation letter (or any kind of letter you want to design).  The letter body will be filled in with specific items of information from Anne Baker's reservation.  You can also opt to send this letter as a rich text email.  The email message is sent directly to you MS-Outlook "Outbox".  Or place the letter text into an MS-Word document for more editing.
  • Press <Ctrl+Insert> to clone this reservations.  All items such as the arrival date and number of nights are the same only select a different room number.

Work through the top menu bar to review other available options.
